About
Lauren (she/her) began her work with birth and postpartum support in 2009. Since then, she has supported hundreds of families through the prenatal, birth, and postpartum journey in a variety of settings as a labor & postpartum doula, lactation specialist, childbirth/newborn care educator, Certified Infant Massage teacher, and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Lauren has worked as a doula & social worker for teen moms and as a volunteer & private doula/lactation consultant. She feels honored to be able to witness the uniqueness of each family’s journey and takes great joy in tailoring her support based on the family’s needs, desires, and goals. Her lactation support is grounded in her doula work - a holistic model of support that looks at the whole person/family and folds in educational resources, practical tips, and emotional care.
Lauren’s work is inspired in large part by her two kids, who gave her a wealth of experience in breastfeeding-related struggles and the joys that can emerge from figuring out solutions. She lives in Chicago with her kids and husband. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends & family, and jumping double-dutch.

One-on-one Consultations
Private consultations are an opportunity to get detailed support, information, and assessment from an IBCLC, whether you are just starting out on your breast or chestfeeding journey or hoping to address specific issues along the way. Visits typically last 1-2 hours and include a general health history for both parent and infant and an assessment of current health, anatomy, feeding position, and latch. A hospital-grade infant scale will be used to assess milk transfer by doing pre- and post-feed weights. The IBCLC will thoroughly discuss your feeding goals and concerns and make a written plan of care for moving toward those goals. Unlimited phone and text support post-visit is included in this pricing. The IBCLC is additionally able to report and communicate with your care providers upon request.
Cost: $225 for in-home consultation, $150 for virtual consultation

Lauren is amazing! During our first meeting I saw how truly dedicated she was to being a lactation consultant and doula. Through our conversations I saw how much she loves helping others. Lauren takes the time to provide extremely detailed information and she provides multiple resources on a variety of subjects to help make life easier for her client. Lauren has coached me through difficult days and reassured me that everything is working well on my motherhood/ breastfeeding journey. I would highly recommend Lauren over and over again. Lauren was essential to my breastfeeding journey, and I would not have been able to do it without her. In the first days of my daughter’s life, she helped me work through problems with supply and latch with actionable, sensible advice. She was expert, emotionally available and kind every step of the way. She is exactly the kind of patient professional I needed during the emotional and physical rollercoaster of the “4th trimester” and beyond.

Working with Lauren as my LC has been one of the most influential factors as to why I’m still breastfeeding at 10 months. I was immediately comforted by Lauren's calm and reassuring demeanor. She approached me with the sensitivity and understanding I needed at 6 weeks postpartum. She was also incredibly knowledgeable. Lauren was able to talk me through each my struggles and provide resources to help. She was always patient and answered my every question. I know I would not still be breastfeeding if I didn't have Lauren's support. My baby is now 10 months and I still reach out to Lauren for support which she graciously provides. Lauren is responsive, compassionate and skilled as a LC. I cannot recommend Lauren highly enough.
